Color Your World

Chances are you've had your share of fight or flight responses to fear.  I know I have.  It’s curious to me how we seem to label and name fears, branding them, making them somehow more accessible.

Fear of flying.  Fear of heights (which I always wonder... isn't it a fear of falling?)  Fear of change.  Fear of success.

There's a fear people share with me that may not be as well known.
It's one I hear... a lot.  The fear of paint.
I want you to know this:  There is nothing to be afraid of.

For starters, that's not a real fear.  Yet it’s what men and women share with me when they want to paint their homes or offices:  They are afraid of paint.  Afraid of choosing the wrong color.  Afraid of how much time, money, effort it will take to fix it if they find they don't like it.  Afraid of not making a change and feeling stuck with what they have (usually off-white walls.)

I have helped hundreds of people choose paint colors.  From pale, warm whites to deep, rich browns.  From soft greens to warm golds.  Reds, blues…  there is no color family that hasn’t been painted on a wall, or used to add an accent, or somehow enhanced a living space.

Paint – and colors - don’t have to be unnerving.  It can be exciting to take outer-life steps that reflect how you’re transitioning or transforming in your inner-life.  But that isn’t frightful.

To find out how you can choose paint colors that you love to live with, keep visiting this section of The Art of WellBeing.  Or you can contact me about a color consultation in your home or office.
